Gathering Only the Advantages of Face-to-Face and Non-Face-to-Face... BNK Busan Bank Opens Video Consultation Exclusive Counter 'Digital Desk'

Gathering Only the Advantages of Face-to-Face and Non-Face-to-Face... BNK Busan Bank Opens Video Consultation Exclusive Counter 'Digital Desk' Using the 'Digital Desk'.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] BNK Busan Bank is introducing a new customer contact channel to lead digital counters.

On the 28th, Busan Bank opened a video consultation-only counter called the ‘Digital Desk’ to provide financial services that combine the advantages of face-to-face and non-face-to-face channels.

The ‘Digital Desk’ is a counter where customers visiting the branch can connect with bank staff via video call to conduct banking transactions.

The counter is equipped with a tablet for customer input, a PIN pad, card reader, scanner, biometric recognition module, and a mobile phone mirroring camera, enabling most banking services such as ▲new deposits/savings/subscription ▲loan consultation and application ▲new internet banking registration ▲credit/check card issuance.

Professional consultants will handle transactions directly, just like at face-to-face counters, providing services that enhance convenience for digitally marginalized groups.

The ‘Digital Desk’ was first opened on the 28th at the Busan Sasang Industrial Complex Branch and Namcheon Samik Office, and will be sequentially opened at a total of 10 branches by the end of this year, with plans to continuously expand service areas.

Busan Bank President An Gam-chan said, “I hope that various customers, including socially vulnerable groups, can conveniently use banking services through the Digital Desk,” and added, “Busan Bank will continue to do its best to coexist with digitally marginalized groups as a leading financial institution representing the region.”

Busan Bank has been carrying out the ‘Paperless Counter Operations Project,’ transitioning to paperless work to practice digital transformation (DT) and ESG management, and in April completed the establishment of a paperless work system expanded to all branches.
