Recruitment of Participants for 'KBS National Singing Contest' in Nam-gu, Gwangju

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City is recruiting participants to perform on the stage of KBS National Singing Contest held to commemorate the opening of Jinwol Complex Sports Ground.

According to Nam-gu on the 28th, the KBS National Singing Contest to celebrate the opening of Jinwol Complex Sports Ground will be held on the 18th at the site of Jinwol Complex Sports Ground.

The preliminary audition will be held on the 16th from 1 PM at the Nam-gu Culture and Arts Center performance hall, where about 40 to 50 participants will be selected in the first round, followed by a second round to select participants who will advance to the final stage. Approximately 15 to 16 participants will advance to the final stage.

Invited singers include Park Sang-chul, Park Gun, Oh Yoo-jin, Shin Sung, and Chae Yoon, and the broadcast of the National Singing Contest Gwangju Nam-gu episode is expected to air in January next year.

Applications for the National Singing Contest preliminary audition will be accepted until the 12th of next month. Residents wishing to participate can submit their application forms by visiting their local administrative welfare center, the Nam-gu Office Civil Service Room, or the 7th floor Culture and Tourism Department.

For the convenience of participants, applications can also be submitted via email, and same-day applications will be accepted at the preliminary audition venue.

Meanwhile, Jinwol Complex Sports Ground is the first comprehensive sports ground in the district. During his term in the 7th local government, District Mayor Kim Byung-nae has been promoting the construction of Jinwol Complex Sports Ground to fulfill the long-standing wish of local residents to expand the infrastructure for community sports facilities.

The total project cost is approximately 8.6 billion KRW, and it is equipped with a soccer field, baseball field, futsal field, and auxiliary facilities on a 24,047㎡ site around Jinwolje.
