[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Kyungdong Navien has won the German Red Dot Award for its home network wall pad, which plays a key role in smart home systems. The awarded products are the 4th generation wall pads NHN-1311, NHN-1051, and NHN-1041.
The home network wall pad, which serves as the control platform for customers using smart home systems, is installed within the household and thus emphasizes design elements as much as product performance. Based on designs that suit various residential environments, it must enable diverse convenient functions to realize the value of the premium life that customers aspire to.
Kyungdong Navien’s wall pad design features a slim semi-built-in type and a mirror design that harmonizes with the surrounding space. In particular, the design concept, which appears handcrafted, provides artistic premium quality to the user’s living space, and a unified design identity consistent with the door phone adds a sense of cohesion.
The inherent convenience of the smart home system also stands out. It supports intuitive control through a customer-friendly interface (GUI) suitable for green building certification, and enables multi-device integration including lighting, gas, and AI speakers, further enhancing customer convenience. It is also compatible with Kyungdong Navien’s condensing boilers and clean ventilation systems. The NHN-1041 model enhances security by allowing the camera to be turned on and off via physical switches.
