Selling Ugly Apples on Enrabang Live Broadcast
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] NS Home Shopping announced on the 28th that it will hold a "Fallen Fruit Apple Sharing Event" to support farms affected by the typhoon.
On the 29th, starting at 3 PM, NS Home Shopping plans to distribute fallen apples for free to NS Home Shopping employees, visitors, and office workers in the Pangyo area at its headquarters in Pangyo.
NS Home Shopping purchased 2 tons of fallen apples collected from Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, where about 32 hectares of damage occurred due to fallen apples and lodging caused by Typhoon Hinnamnor, the 11th typhoon. Fallen apples are difficult to distribute because, due to their nature, they are likely bruised inside after falling to the ground, making long-term storage impossible even if they appear fine on the outside.
Participants can receive up to 3 kg of fallen apples per person for free, but to protect the natural environment, they must bring reusable shopping bags. Even without a shopping bag, participants can take at least two apples that can be held in both hands.
NS Home Shopping also prepared a broadcast on its live commerce platform Enra Bang to support local farms. This broadcast will show the vivid scenes of the fallen fruit sharing event and sell three boxes of imperfect apples from fruit trees at a 10% discounted price.
An NS Home Shopping official said, "We are holding the fallen fruit apple sharing event to join many people in supporting farms damaged by this typhoon," adding, "We ask for much interest in the fallen fruit sharing event and the imperfect apple Enra Bang broadcast so that we can help and encourage the recovery of farms affected by the typhoon."
