[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] The production companies of the musical 'Love's Emergency Landing,' A2G Entertainment Co., Ltd. and T2N Media Co., Ltd., signed a collaboration contract with Japan's Fuji TV on the 16th.
Kim Tae-hyung, producer of the musical 'Love's Emergency Landing,' stated, "We are simultaneously planning an original team performance featuring Korean original actors performing in Korean and a replica performance with Japanese actors," adding, "There is also interest from Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, and overseas productions are scheduled to visit Seoul during the performance period."
The original drama 'Love's Emergency Landing' was broadcast in over 190 countries worldwide through Netflix. Especially in Japan, it remains in the top 10 popular series even two years later. Riding on this popularity, the musical was produced and premiered on the 16th at COEX Shinhan Card Artium in Seoul. It draws attention by presenting a wave of retro beyond nostalgia on stage.
The work is a romance focusing on the 'people' and 'lives' of North and South Korea. It tells the special love story of Yoon Se-ri, a chaebol heiress who crash-lands in North Korea due to a paragliding accident during a sudden storm, and Ri Jeong-hyuk, a North Korean officer who hides and protects her and falls in love. The musical has been praised for its realistic portrayal of North Korean life on stage, the harmony of three-dimensional characters, and the love story of the four main characters, which enhances audience immersion with their contrasting charms.
'Love's Emergency Landing' will continue its world premiere stage at COEX Shinhan Card Artium until November 13.
