[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] The Mobile Civil Complaint Response Team in Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, is solidifying its position as a reliable problem solver for isolated groups, including elderly people living alone.
According to the county on the 27th, the Mobile Response Team immediately dispatches upon a single phone call from anyone, targeting basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, and elderly people aged 65 or older living alone, through the Comprehensive Civil Complaints Office, the Civil Complaints Team, and the eup/myeon offices.
They handle all aspects of daily civil complaints such as electrical work (replacing lights and outlets), water supply (replacing kitchen and bathroom faucets), and home repairs (replacing window screens, door knobs, and door hinges).
In particular, they receive high praise for quickly addressing small but essential daily needs such as boiler repairs and wallpaper support.
The 8th term of the Gochang-gun administration, which prioritizes citizen happiness, is paying attention to the role of the Mobile Response Team and focusing on strengthening its capabilities.
It is hoped that by becoming the hands and feet for neighbors in need during the COVID-19 era, the welfare blind spots within the jurisdiction will be reduced and overall happiness increased.
Baek Ki-young, head of the Comprehensive Civil Complaints Office, recently visited the complaint sites to encourage the mobile team members and wallpaper volunteers and spent time communicating with elderly people living alone in isolation.
County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “Through the Mobile Civil Complaint Response Team, we will actively identify on-site complaints and improve services so that elderly people living alone or economically disadvantaged citizens can enjoy more benefits, and based on this, we will do our best to ensure they do not feel loneliness or alienation.”
