Charlie Woods shoots 4-under par career-low... "Dad was my caddie"

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] 'Golf Emperor' Tiger Woods' (USA) son Charlie set his career-low score in an official tournament.

On the 25th (local time), Charlie shot 4-under-par 68 in the final round of the Notah Begay III Junior National Championship, a US Junior Golf tournament held at Mission Inn Resort Golf Course (par 72) near Orlando, Florida. This was his 'life best score' in an official tournament.

Charlie made 1 eagle, 4 birdies, and 2 bogeys. He reduced 1 stroke in the front nine with 2 birdies and 1 bogey, and 3 strokes in the back nine with an eagle, 2 birdies, and 1 bogey. The eagle on the 14th hole (par 5) was almost an albatross. His father Woods served as his caddie and witnessed the career-low score moment.

Charlie struggled in the first round with 8-over-par 80. Charlie said, "Dad advised me to be patient," and "I tried to play consistently." He finished tied for 4th place (4-over-par 148) in the 12-13 age division. The winner was Darren Zhou (Hong Kong), who shot 7-under-par over two days.

Meanwhile, Woods will host the Hero World Challenge in the first week of December. Afterwards, he is expected to participate in the PNC Championship, an event where parents and children play 36 holes together, along with Charlie.
