Over 30 Field Workers Including Road Repair Workers Targeted

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County conducted worker safety and health education to prevent industrial accidents.
According to the county on the 26th, the first regular safety and health education was held on the 23rd at the Hampyeong County Art Museum for about 60 field workers, including road maintenance workers.
This education was prepared to prevent industrial accidents among field workers such as environmental cleaners, road maintenance, and building security, and to strengthen workers' safety capabilities.
The session, conducted by a professional instructor from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, covered overall industrial safety topics, from how to wear safety protective gear to work management methods in hazardous and dangerous environments.
The county plans to conduct a second session on the 27th focusing on health education, including musculoskeletal disorder management through stretching exercises.
A county official said, "With the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, interest in industrial safety is increasing," and added, "We will do our best to promote workers' safety and health."
