Jointly Organized by Dongmyeong University Yang Seung-taek Future Strategy Research Center and Busan Venture Business Association on the 26th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Yang Seung-taek Future Strategy Research Center at Dongmyung University is holding a briefing session on the promotion of the national root industry.
The center director is Yang Seung-taek, former Minister of Information and Communication and former president of Dongmyung University.
The national root industry promotion project briefing session is an event hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's National Root Industry Promotion Center, and will be jointly organized by the Busan Venture Business Association and the center on the 26th at 4 p.m. in Room 809 of the Busan Venture Business Association Education Center.
This briefing session is aimed at root companies in the southeastern region and discusses ways to foster the root industry of small and medium-sized enterprises. Representatives from over 100 manufacturing companies located in the southeastern region, including the Busan Venture Business Association, will attend the event.
At the briefing, Professor Kim Sang-gil of Dongmyung University, Director Lee Hwan-woong of the National Root Industry Promotion Center, and Dr. Lee Jae-hak will introduce government funding support policies for designating specialized technology companies and training manpower to foster the root industry for small and medium-sized enterprises in the southeastern region.
The briefing will explain the designation and support projects for specialized root industry technology companies, support for root industry system construction and manpower training projects, support of up to 200 million KRW per company (per project), additional points for government support projects, preferential treatment when changing the limit and residence status for newly employed foreigners, and military service special benefits.
The root industry encompasses not only traditional manufacturing technology industries such as casting, mold, press, precision processing, and shipbuilding but also industrial intelligent software, robotics, and intelligent processes. It is an industry that aligns with the strengths of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region and is a future-oriented industrial field.
