The Vocational Education Innovation District project is a project jointly selected by the Ministry of Education through a public contest, with cooperation between Ulsan City and the Office of Education. Both institutions have been steadily collaborating for this project.

It is a new model that pursues changes in vocational education by nurturing technical talents who graduate from vocational high schools and helping them find employment in local companies and settle in the region.

The Office of Education is responsible for education to nurture talents, and Ulsan City provides administrative and financial support to systematically promote the project.

Ulsan City and the Office of Education promised to continuously cooperate to nurture technical talents for the region’s future strategic industries and support their settlement in the area, and the agreement was made in writing.

The main contents of the agreement include ▲ the formation and operation of the Regional Cooperation Committee and the Working Council ▲ the establishment and operation of the Vocational Education Innovation District Support Center ▲ discovery of quality jobs in local companies and support for employment linkage ▲ support for equipment for technical education in future strategic industries in the region ▲ support for early employment and subsequent learning and settlement of local vocational high school graduates ▲ budgeting and execution of funds for operating the Vocational Education Innovation District project ▲ enactment of ordinances for continuous cooperation in the Vocational Education Innovation District ▲ and other matters related to the operation of the Vocational Education Innovation District project.

After the agreement, starting with the launch ceremony of the Vocational Education Innovation District project, mutual cooperation for vocational education will be fully activated, with participation from related local organizations and regional universities to share the role of the local community in vocational education.
