[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actor Ok Taec-yeon successfully concluded his fan meeting in Japan.
According to his agency 51k on the 22nd, Ok Taec-yeon held the fan meeting 'OKAERI' in Kobe and Tokyo, Japan, on the 13th and 16th respectively.
This fan meeting was his first solo fan meeting in five years since his military discharge. The title 'OKAERI,' which Ok Taec-yeon personally named, means "Welcome back, did you have a good trip?" and expresses his special feelings toward the fans who have continuously supported him.
Appearing amid loud cheers, Ok Taec-yeon greeted, "I was excited and very nervous even before coming to Japan. I wanted to meet the fans."
Ok Taec-yeon participated directly from the planning stage of the fan meeting. From sharing recent updates to selecting winners in various categories in the 'Character Awards,' and answering fans' questions in the 'Ask Me Anything' corner, the fan meeting was conducted without separate interpretation, allowing Ok Taec-yeon to connect closely with his fans. In the 'Jeonju Travel Vlog' video, he revealed his down-to-earth charm through everyday moments rather than his works.
He then performed the self-composed song 'Champagne' from 2PM's 7th full album 'Must,' for the first time on stage. Offering a special service by singing live the song selected by spinning a roulette, Ok Taec-yeon deeply moved his fans. He continued by singing 'Winter hitori,' 'Never give up,' 'Any way,' and 'I love you, you love me,' successfully concluding the fan meeting.
Ok Taec-yeon said, "It took a long time to meet you all. I am grateful to be able to repay even a little for the love and support you have continuously given during the time we could not meet. With this thankful heart, I will work hard so that we can meet again soon." He then read a handwritten letter, conveying his special feelings.
After finishing the fan meeting in Japan, Ok Taec-yeon will hold a domestic fan meeting in December for the first time in three years.
