Customized AI math learning platform, Mathholic (CEO Kang Ji-hoon, Kim Young-hee), announced on the 22nd that it won the grand prize, the Minister of Education Award, at the ‘18th EduTech Korea Fair’ Excellent Companies Contest held at COEX.
The ‘EduTech Korea Fair’ is an annual event hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to provide an experience venue for EduTech, which integrates information and communication technologies (ICT) such as virtual/augmented reality and artificial intelligence into education. The event consists of awards for excellent EduTech companies, export consultation meetings, and startup VC investment presentations.
This year’s event, themed ‘EduTech, the Beginning of the Digital Great Transformation,’ was attended by 235 organizations and companies including the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and Mathholic.
Mathholic has analyzed over 2 billion proprietary learning data over the past 11 years to integrate advanced AI into math education and has continuously developed and improved AI functions. Currently, it offers an AI diagnostic evaluation function that predicts learning achievement for one semester (about 800 types) with approximately 30 questions, and AI recommended learning based on deep learning that suggests the optimal learning path. Related organizations such as the Ministry of Education recognized Mathholic’s technology specialized in the math AI field and awarded the grand prize at this contest.
Mathholic is evaluated to contribute to creating an advanced educational society by participating in solving national challenges such as bridging the rapidly deepened educational gap among students after COVID-19 and efficient non-face-to-face learning through its proprietary AI learning platform used in schools, ‘Mathholic T.’ In particular, learning recommended by Mathholic AI boasts up to 10 times greater efficiency compared to existing methods and is expected to be widely utilized in educational environments.
Kang Ji-hoon, CEO of Mathholic, said, “We received this great award by considering practical elements that can help students’ academic performance and working hard on the ground.
