Professor Jo Yong-jin of Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Dong-Eui University Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Professor Cho Yongjin of the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Dong-Eui University received a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy at the ‘19th Shipbuilding and Marine Day Commemoration Event’ held on the 6th floor Grace Hall of EL Tower in Seoul on the 15th.

Professor Cho Yongjin has contributed to improving ship design technology and securing independent technology by conducting various research projects in collaboration with government-affiliated institutions, national policy institutions, and defense industry companies while serving as a professor at Dong-Eui University and a researcher at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology.

In recognition of his contributions to technological development and export promotion in the shipbuilding and marine industry, he was selected as a meritorious person.

After serving as a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology, Professor Cho joined Dong-Eui University as a professor in the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in 2007 and currently serves as the director of the Dong-Eui University Ship Infrared Signal Research Center.

Since joining Dong-Eui University, Professor Cho has contributed to the advancement of technology and academia in the shipbuilding and marine fields and talent development by securing five domestic patents, publishing two papers in SCI-level international journals, six papers in international journals, and 42 papers in domestic journals indexed in KCI.
