Namwon-si, Dream Dream Youth Weaving Craft Certification Acquisition

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City in Jeonbuk, through the Namwon City Out-of-School Youth Support Center Kkumdeulim (Center Director Jeong Il-shin), announced on the 21st that it is implementing the out-of-school youth self-growth project "Youth Startup."

Youth Startup is a local welfare issue support project supported by the Community Chest of Korea.

Through this project, from May 10th to the 16th of last month, a total of 16 sessions of the Level 2 Weaving Craft Expert Certification course were operated to strengthen the independence capabilities of out-of-school youth in Namwon City, and all seven participating youths succeeded in obtaining the certification.

On the 24th, at the 5th Namwon City Social Welfare Expo held at Namwon Sarang Square, a flea market will be opened to sell products, showcasing the items they made themselves.

Center Director Jeong Il-shin said, "Thanks to the support of the Community Chest of Korea and the guidance of Charm Workshop CEO Choi Sun-mi, the participating youths were able to achieve good results," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that Kkumdeulim youths face no difficulties entering society through various experiences as well as academics."

Meanwhile, Kkumdeulim Namwon City, which opened its doors in 2015, supports out-of-school youths by providing academic support, certification acquisition support, job experience, and health checkups, helping youths who have dropped out of school regain confidence and nurture their dreams.

Youths wishing to participate in Kkumdeulim can apply at any time, and for more details, they can contact the Namwon City Youth Counseling Welfare Center.
