[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] On the 21st, Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho visited the National Assembly and government ministries to go 'all-in' on securing national funding for next year.


On this day, he met with Choi Sang-dae, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and local district lawmakers Koo Ja-geun and Kim Young-sik to actively request support for securing national funds. He also met consecutively with members of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, including Lee In-seon, Kang Dae-sik, and Jung Hee-yong.


During the meetings, he emphasized the importance of supporting the establishment of the 'Semiconductor Convergence Components Innovative Manufacturing' platform, which is a key project for Gumi City next year.


Mayor Kim also drew attention to various local issues, including the construction of the 'Gumi Win-Win Cooperation Support Center,' the establishment of a metaverse data center for the Hallyu Metaverse Hall, the creation of a Hallyu Integrated Communication Center, the development of the Hallyu Metaverse World, the construction of the 'XR Metaverse Safety Industrial Complex' for worker hazard prevention, and the multipurpose rural water development project in the Sandong Jangcheon Sanjang district.


He devoted efforts to explaining the justification and necessity for possible increases or additions during the National Assembly budget review process.


Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, “For large-scale national projects that serve as major resources for city development, cooperation and support at the National Assembly level are essential,” adding, “We will make every effort until December, when next year’s national budget is finally confirmed, to ensure that ongoing projects proceed without setbacks.”
