Jeongeup-si to Host 'Jeongeupsa Cultural Festival' on 24th-25th

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk will hold the "33rd Jeongeupsa Cultural Festival" at Jeongeupsa Park on the 24th and 25th.

According to the city on the 20th, the Jeongeupsa Cultural Festival was prepared to preserve the historical and literary value of Jeongeupsa, the greatest existing Baekje song, and to inherit the noble love and beautiful virtue spirit of the Jeongeupsa woman.

Hosted and organized by Jeongeup City and the Jeongeupsa Cultural Festival Organizing Committee, this event is largely divided into official events and performance events.

Starting with official events such as the morning Chae-su ritual, Jeongeupsa woman memorial ceremony, Buddha statue award ceremony, and commemorative ceremony on the 24th, planned performances, youth song contests, and Jeongeupsa song contests will be held on the 25th.

For the congratulatory performance, trot master Jinseong, who has met the public through numerous hit songs, will appear to excite the audience at the venue.

Following that, many beloved singers such as Nataju, who received much love for his splendid Taekwondo performance, trot fairies Bang Seohui and Kim Dahyun, as well as Miss Molly, Jo Yeonbi, and Jeongju will appear in large numbers to present special performances.

Various experience events and side events will also be held during the festival period.

In addition to operating food booths with various dishes, there will be plenty of fun activities such as sending love postcards, face painting, mole games, tall clown and balloon clown performances.

Also, beautiful landscape lighting decorated from Jeongdonggyo to Jeongeupsa Park will install colorful LED lights under the theme of "Love," providing visitors with a unique nighttime attraction at the festival site.

From 6:30 PM on the 25th, the "2022 Jeongeupsa Song Festival," a gateway for new singers, will be spectacularly held on the special stage at Jeongeupsa Park.

The Jeongeupsa Song Festival is held in the form of a song festival that evokes nostalgia for the old college song festival, and popular singers Yang Ji-eun, Shin Yu, Kim Heejin, and Jeong Jaewoon will appear to raise the event atmosphere to the fullest.

A city official said, "Since the cultural festival, which had been scaled down due to COVID-19, will be held again at the pre-COVID-19 scale, we have prepared more diverse attractions and experience events," adding, "We will do our best to make it a festival that many citizens can safely enjoy through thorough quarantine."
