The Korea Technology Management Cooperation (KTMC), a non-profit organization under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Chairman Ju Seongjong), announced on the 19th that following the Ulsan office and Gyeonggi branch, it will operate the Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region in establishing government-supported safety and health management systems in response to ESG management and the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
KTMC provides management consulting to enhance SME competitiveness, serves as a government-supported ISO certification and ISO international auditor training institution, and is a commissioned training institution by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It is a non-profit organization that alleviates management burdens on SMEs through government support and contributes to the establishment of safety and health management systems and the training of safety and health managers in response to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Located at the Korea Medi-Venture Center in Dong-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch will build government-supported quality management, environmental management, and safety and health management systems for SMEs in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, and cultivate safety, health, and quality management experts through non-face-to-face job training to be deployed to SMEs.
Kim Youngjo, Vice Chairman of KTMC, stated, “SMEs are facing extreme and severe difficulties with an unpredictable future due to the Ukraine war, US-China conflicts, hegemonic struggles through resource weaponization among countries, the pandemic situation, steep interest rates, and rising prices. We are determined to help SMEs in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, who are facing an uncertain reality, to develop global competitiveness and turn the current crisis into an opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman Kim Youngjo operates the online “Manager Kim Consulting” service and has been a leading figure in strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs in Daegu-Gyeongbuk, including major public institutions such as Gyeongbuk Technopark and Gwangyang Bay Free Economic Zone Authority. He has received awards from the Minister of Environment and the Minister of the Interior and Safety.
