According to the legal community on the 19th, the Criminal Division 1 of the Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office applied charges of attempted rape and violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (using a camera, etc.) against Lee at the end of last month and indicted him in custody.
Earlier this year, Coach Lee was investigated by the police on suspicion of attempting to sexually assault his teenage student and was sent to the prosecution without detention. However, the prosecution judged that the nature of Lee's crime was serious and requested an arrest warrant, which was issued. Lee is currently incarcerated at Uijeongbu Prison.
