[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] 'Trotarotti' Kim Hojoong boasted a special connection with actor Lee Jehoon.

Singer Kim Hojoong attended as a guest at the '2022 Lee Jehoon Fan Meeting: Greetings to You' held at the Centennial Memorial Hall Concert Hall, Yonsei University Sinchon Campus, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, at 2 p.m. on the 18th.

On that day, Kim Hojoong made a surprise appearance as a guest right at the start of the second part. Kim Hojoong and Lee Jehoon met as a real person and actor in the movie 'Papa Roach' (2013), building a friendship that overcame a 7-year age gap.

Kim Hojoong shared his special feelings, saying, "I went to the 'Papa Roach' filming site at the director's invitation, and seeing Lee Jehoon score 11 out of 10, I wanted to be like him. I also worked hard to sing confidently someday, and I have come this far."

Lee Jehoon said he met Kim Hojoong two months before his discharge and had a meal together. Kim Hojoong recalled, "While eating with Lee Jehoon, we talked about old times and shared emotions that cannot be expressed in words, shedding tears together." Lee Jehoon said, "We met after 10 years," adding, "Kim Hojoong created many of the lines for Jangho (played by Lee Jehoon) in 'Papa Roach.' I felt chills every time I delivered those lines, which was impressive."

Kim Hojoong laughed, saying, "People probably thought my real appearance looked similar to Lee Jehoon’s, but I think that misunderstanding has been cleared up." He then named Lee Jehoon as his "favorite actor."

Previously, Kim Hojoong gained intense attention in 2020 on 'Mr. Trot' and has been actively promoting himself with the nickname 'Trotarotti.' Lee Jehoon said, "Because I acted as Kim Hojoong in the movie, there was a connected bond in my heart. I cheered while watching the 'Mr. Trot' program, and I am grateful that he is receiving great love after his discharge."

Kim Hojoong heated up the fan meeting by passionately singing the OST song 'The Person Who Gives Happiness' from the movie 'Papa Roach.'

Meanwhile, Lee Jehoon is scheduled to continue the second round of the fan meeting performance at 6 p.m.
