[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City will hold the "4th Busan Youth Week" event for six days from the 17th to the 22nd to commemorate Youth Day.
Busan Youth Week, with the slogan "Youth and Local, From Now On, We," is designed as a communication platform where young people living in Busan participate in various youth programs and discuss related policies.
From the preparation stage, a planning team composed of institutions and organizations related to youth was operated, allowing Busan youth to directly plan the content. The "Youth Space Connection Council," a consultative body of youth spaces from 16 districts and counties, also participated in preparing the event.
The event will begin with the Busan Youth Week commemorative ceremony at 2 p.m. on the 17th at the Yeongdo Tourism Enterprise Support Center.
After the Busan Youth Week commemorative ceremony, 118 events will be held in four sections: ▲ conferences such as discussions on "Local Creators and Youth Startups" ▲ lectures and talks including local startup special lectures ▲ Youth Space Connection programs held in public and private youth spaces ▲ cultural and performance events such as the Seomyeon Cultural Festival.
An event will also be held where 3,300 young people who participate in Busan Youth Week and upload certification photos on SNS will receive a Busan youth "Happiness Box" containing the taste of Busan local specialties.
Detailed schedules and information about the event can be found on the "Busan City Youth Policy Platform website" and the "2022 Busan Youth Week website."
Park Hyung-jun, Mayor of Busan, said, "To create a city where youth can settle, we will build a solid Youth G(ji) Base and take care of the present and future of Busan youth with customized policies such as jobs, housing, and culture."
Mayor Park added, "We will do our best to create a stage where youth can challenge themselves, such as attracting the 2030 World Expo to Busan and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Mega City, making Busan a city where people want to live again even if they are born again."
