On the 25th, Triathletes Nationwide Will Showcase Their Skills at Masan Marine New City, Gyeongnam

The 2nd Masanman National Triathlon Competition and 2022 National Sports for All Festival

The "2nd Changwon Special City Masan Bay National Triathlon Competition and 2022 National Sports for All Festival" will be held on the 25th around Masan Marine New City, Gyeongnam.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 13th that the "2nd Changwon Special City Masan Bay National Triathlon Competition and 2022 National Sports for All Festival" will be held around the Marine New City area on the 25th.

The event is hosted by the Korean Sports Council and Changwon City Sports Council, organized by the Korean, Gyeongnam, and Changwon Triathlon Associations, and will feature approximately 850 athletes from across the country competing to showcase their skills.

The general amateur division will compete in the standard distance of 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling, and 10 km running, while the Sports for All Festival division will compete in the sprint distance of 750 m swimming, 20 km cycling, and 5 km running.

Now in its second year, the Masan Bay National Triathlon Competition was originally established to promote Masan Bay, whose water quality has improved, to the nation through hosting the event.

The competition will take place over a one-night, two-day schedule starting on the 24th with athlete registration and rehearsals, and it is expected to contribute to the revitalization of the surrounding commercial areas.

On the 25th, traffic control will be enforced on the bicycle course from Masan toward Changwon from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with one-way restrictions, and the city requests active cooperation from local residents.
