"Recreating the Taste and Flavor of Kodari Jorim" Samyang Foods Launches 'Kodari Bokkeummyeon'

"Recreating the Taste and Flavor of Kodari Jorim" Samyang Foods Launches 'Kodari Bokkeummyeon'

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Samyang Foods announced on the 13th that it will launch a new product, 'Kodari Bokkeummyeon' (Stir-fried Pollack Noodles).

Kodari Bokkeummyeon is a product that recreates the taste and flavor of the Korean dish 'Kodari Jorim' (braised pollack), which uses pollack, a seasonal ingredient in the upcoming winter. The spicy and sweet Kodari Jorim sauce is made with pollack extract, red pepper powder, corn syrup, and sesame oil to stimulate the appetite, and it is characterized by enhanced taste and appearance with the addition of savory seaweed, sesame seeds, and pungent green onion flakes. The company also explained that the spicy and sweet flavor based on gochujang, which Koreans love, pairs well with other ingredients, allowing consumers to enjoy various recipes according to their preferences.

In particular, the sauce of Kodari Bokkeummyeon is in a liquid form that mixes well with the noodles without clumping, so there is no need to pour the sauce over cooked noodles and stir-fry again; it can be mixed and eaten immediately, making it easy and quick to prepare. The packaging uses materials made with green technology to reduce harmful substances.

A Samyang Foods official said, "This product was planned to conveniently enjoy the spicy and sweet seasoning of Kodari Jorim," adding, "The advantage is that you can enjoy it with various recipes by adding vegetables such as dried radish greens or stir-frying with rice using the delicious seasoning sauce that stimulates the appetite."
