In his message, Governor Kim said, "Although there have been difficult times, I sincerely hope that today can be more relaxed and abundant than any other day," adding, "At the same time, I hope it will be a holiday that does not forget neighbors around us who are going through hardships."
He continued, "The COVID-19 situation is still ongoing," and promised, "Many people are struggling due to the economic downturn and rising prices, as well as severe flood victims, and Gyeonggi Province will do its best to help everyone regain ease and smiles as soon as possible."
He also emphasized, "I hope this year's Chuseok becomes a holiday of 'us,'" adding, "For this to happen, it is not 'me alone' but 'us' together that is necessary."
Governor Kim concluded, "I will do my best to ensure that the lives of the residents are always as rich and joyful as Chuseok," and added, "I will pay more careful attention to provincial administration and the hearts of the residents than ever before."
