Gyeongnam Province Supports Gyeongbuk with 30,000 Bottles of Drinking Water This Time Gyeongnam Province will provide 30,000 bottles of drinking water to Gyeongbuk Province, which suffered damage from Typhoon Hinnamnor.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, ordered the urgent support of 30,000 bottles of drinking water to Gyeongbuk Province, which suffered significant damage from Typhoon Hinnamnor No. 11, on the 8th.


The plan is to alleviate the inconvenience of residents in the Gyeongbuk area and to respond to typhoons expected to occur in the future.


Gyeongnam Province is also preparing support measures in case the local governments request assistance with recovery equipment and manpower.


A provincial official stated that 20,000 bottles of drinking water were supported to the central region, including Seoul, which suffered heavy rain damage in August, and that they expressed their willingness to support Gyeongbuk Province, which was affected by this typhoon, through direct phone calls.


The drinking water provided by Gyeongnam Province through the Disaster Relief Association to the areas affected by Typhoon Hinnamnor will be distributed to typhoon victims and vulnerable groups.


The province is also preparing a rapid response and preparedness system in case a typhoon strikes during the Chuseok holiday period.


Governor Park Wan-su said, “Since the inconvenience to the residents of Gyeongbuk Province is significant due to this record-breaking typhoon, prepare for the rapid supply of drinking water and additional requests for supplies.”
