Nongshim's 'Forest Kitchen' Selected as One of Seoul's Top 100 Restaurants... "The Only Vegan Restaurant Opened This Year"

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Nongshim announced on the 8th that the vegetarian restaurant Forest Kitchen has been named one of Seoul's top 100 restaurants.

Among the nine vegetarian restaurants included in the '2022 Taste of Seoul 100 Selection' announced by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Forest Kitchen was included. It is the only newly opened vegetarian restaurant this year.

The Taste of Seoul 100 Selection is chosen and announced by the Seoul Metropolitan Government based on recommendations from domestic and international culinary experts. Since 2020, it has been selected annually to spotlight the flavors of Seoul, promote Seoul as a world-class gourmet city, and elevate the level of Seoul's tourism culture. The judging criteria include glocalism (globalization + localization), topicality, and expertise.

Forest Kitchen opened in May at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil with the idea of contributing to customers' healing and the global environment through vegan food. As a vegan fine dining restaurant, it offers a variety of vegan menus and is being recognized by consumers as a restaurant with high culinary completeness regardless of whether the dishes are vegan.

A Nongshim official said, "Being selected as a representative restaurant of Seoul just three months after opening means that Forest Kitchen's high-quality dishes and service have been recognized by experts," adding, "We will continue to present the best cuisine and lead new trends in vegan restaurants."
