Doosan Construction Co., Ltd. Secures Strong Residential Demand with 'Doosan We've the Zenith Central Wonju' in Wonju, Official Contract on 13th (Tue)

The housing market in small and medium-sized provincial cities with high population inflow rates is showing resilience despite the overall market downturn. In particular, areas experiencing positive factors such as corporate investment and job creation are attracting a diverse range of age groups, including young people, thereby forming a solid housing demand. A representative area is Wonju City in Gangwon Province.

In fact, Wonju City in Gangwon Province, where many public institutions are located, has shown a remarkable population inflow rate. According to the Population Census data from Statistics Korea, as of 2021, Wonju's population increased by 13.7% (314,678 → 357,757) compared to 2010, significantly surpassing Gangwon's average growth rate of 0.8% during the same period.

Currently, Wonju City in Gangwon Province hosts 13 public institutions, including the Korea Tourism Organization, National Health Insurance Service, and Korea National Park Service, located in the Innovation City, along with numerous companies. Additionally, facilities such as large hospitals and broadcasting stations provide abundant job opportunities, attracting many people to the area.

Meanwhile, Doosan Construction is currently selling units at ‘Doosan We’ve The Zenith Central Wonju’ in the Wondong area of Wonju City, Gangwon Province. The complex will be developed on a scale of 1,167 households across 14 buildings, ranging from 2 basement floors to a maximum of 24 floors above ground, with exclusive areas of 29 to 84 square meters.

Wonju City, where the complex is located, continues to see population growth due to the presence of various public enterprises. The complex is close to Wonju Innovation City, home to the Korea Tourism Organization and National Health Insurance Service, and nearby facilities such as Wonju City Hall and Wonju Severance Christian Hospital offer excellent proximity to workplaces.

Doosan We’ve The Zenith Central Wonju is near Central Market, Jungang-ro Culture Street, and large shopping facilities such as AK Plaza and Lotte Mart, as well as Megabox, Wonju Severance Christian Hospital, and Wonju City Hall. Moreover, it is within walking distance to schools including Myeongryun Elementary School, Wonju Girls’ Middle School, and Wonju Middle and High Schools, and is adjacent to Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine and Wonju City Central Library, providing an excellent educational environment.

The complex is adjacent to major roads such as Musil-ro and Seowon-daero, facilitating easy movement within the region. In particular, the well-established public transportation infrastructure makes travel convenient throughout Wonju. Additionally, access to expressways such as the 2nd Yeongdong Expressway and Jungang Expressway is smooth, ensuring excellent connectivity to the Seoul metropolitan area. The nearby KTX Wonju Station also makes travel outside the region easy.

There is also a planned railway development benefit nearby. The double-track electrified railway line between Yeoju and Wonju on the Gyeonggang Line, scheduled to begin construction in the second half of this year, is expected to open in 2027. Once this railway connecting Yeoju and Wonju is operational, travel from Wonju to the Seoul Gangnam area will be possible within an hour, further improving Wonju’s transportation environment.

For residents’ diverse lifestyles and high quality of life, approximately 4,364 square meters of large-scale community facilities including a fitness center, GX room, caf?-style reading room, and lounge will be provided, along with facilities such as a daycare center and senior citizens’ center housed in separate buildings.

Doosan We’ve The Zenith Central Wonju will hold official contracts over four days from Tuesday, September 13 to Friday, September 16.
