[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jeonnam Haenam-gun announced on the 7th that it has established a comprehensive plan to ensure that residents and visitors returning home during the Chuseok holiday can have a safe and comfortable holiday, and will operate a comprehensive situation room for four days from the 9th to the 12th.
The comprehensive situation room is organized into seven task forces including a general control team, disaster and safety, livestock diseases, forest fires, traffic and cleaning, health, and water supply, focusing on areas closely related to residents' lives to promptly respond to inconveniences.
In particular, a disaster safety situation room will be operated to oversee disaster occurrences and promote special COVID-19 quarantine measures during the holiday period to manage various disaster safety and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Along with this, during the Chuseok holiday, the atmosphere of voluntary quarantine practice will be spread, and quarantine management will be strengthened through focused guidance and inspections of multi-use facilities, traditional markets, cultural and artistic facilities, and medical institutions.
To minimize inconvenience in using medical institutions and pharmacies during the holiday period and to prepare for emergency patient treatment as well as the occurrence and spread of COVID-19 patients, an emergency medical countermeasure situation room will be installed and operated at the county health center.
COVID-19 screening clinics will operate without breaks during the holiday at three locations: the health center, Haenam General Hospital, and Haenam Woori General Hospital. The health center screening clinic operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and medical institution screening clinics operate 24 hours.
For general treatment, 24-hour emergency rooms will be operated at Haenam General Hospital and Haenam Woori General Hospital, which are regional emergency medical institutions, and on-duty medical institutions and holiday pharmacies will be designated to minimize medical inconvenience through daily shifts. On the 10th and 11th, the health center's consultation rooms will also operate to enable prompt response in case of patient occurrence.
Detailed information on hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies available for treatment during the Chuseok holiday can be found on the Haenam-gun and health center websites and the Sotongnet, and can also be accessed through the 119 ambulance situation management center, emergency medical portal site, or smartphone app (emergency medical information provision).
Twice before and after the holiday, mass disinfection of livestock farms and related facilities will be conducted, along with the operation of a base disinfection facility at the Livestock Business Office and daily telephone monitoring of each farm by the quarantine countermeasure situation room during the holiday period.
By the 8th before the holiday, warm holiday gift packages will be delivered to 32 social welfare facilities and organizations and 1,000 households of elderly living alone in towns and townships, and a focused volunteer week will be operated using volunteer groups and our neighborhood welfare mobile teams for sharing holiday food and resolving daily inconveniences.
Price stabilization and on-site price display inspections during the holiday will be completed by the 9th in connection with traditional market shopping and quarantine compliance campaigns.
During the Chuseok holiday, the Namdo Regional Memorial Park's enshrinement facilities and natural burial sites will operate normally, and the crematorium will be closed on Chuseok day (September 10). However, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, ritual food is prohibited from being brought in, and personal quarantine rules must be followed.
The underground parking lot at Haenam-gun Office Citizen Square will be open free of charge from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The unmanned civil service issuance machines can be used 24 hours at the outdoor installation site of the county office building, as well as at each town and township office (09:00?18:00), and at Usuyeong Port and Ttangkkeut Port (06:00?20:00).
Haenam-eup's household waste and food waste will be collected on the 9th, 11th, and 12th, excluding Chuseok day, and situation response teams and mobile processing teams will be formed by townships to handle township-level waste collection, complaints, and illegal dumping reports.
Also, during the holiday period, major tourist sites including Haenam Dinosaur Museum, Usuyeong tourist site, Ttangkkeut monorail and observatory, and Duryun Miro Park will operate without breaks. However, the Gosan Yun Seondo historic site and Ttangkkeut Pilgrimage Literature Museum will be closed.
In particular, the Haenam Dinosaur Museum plans to operate various programs for family visitors during the holiday period, such as sand art performances, balloon magic shows, and traditional folk game experiences.
Free permanent experiences such as live sketching of your own dinosaur drawing and family photo taking, as well as paid experience programs including 4D video theater, AR experiences, color soap making, and dinosaur mood light making will also be operated.
Myunghyeon-gwan, Haenam County Governor, said, "Since the farming sites are busier due to the typhoon before the holiday, we will focus administrative power to ensure a safe and comfortable Chuseok holiday," and added, "I hope residents and visitors pay special attention to COVID-19 quarantine and safety management and have a joyful holiday."
