'High Heat' Tops Drama Category Beating 'Echo'
Ranks 2nd Overall After Movie 'My Time'

The popular drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" that recently concluded has ranked first in viewing hours for non-English dramas on Netflix for six consecutive weeks.

According to Netflix's official site "Netflix Top 10" on the 7th, "Woo Young-woo" recorded 48.82 million viewing hours in the fifth week of last month (August 29 to September 4). Although this was a decrease from 53.89 million hours in the fourth week (August 22 to 28), it was 4.77 million hours more than the second-place "High Heat" (44.05 million hours).

The English-language drama "Echo" stayed at 36.58 million hours, topping the overall Netflix drama category. Including movies, it ranked second overall on Netflix, following "Me Time" (56.56 million hours).

"Woo Young-woo" has topped the non-English drama viewing hours chart eight times. It did not enter the top 10 in its first week of airing but gained popularity through word of mouth, ranking first in the second week of July (July 4?10, 23.95 million hours) and the third week (July 11?17, 45.58 million hours).

In the fourth week of July (July 18?24, 55.07 million hours), it dropped to second place behind the Spanish drama "Alba." However, it reclaimed first place in the fifth week of July (July 25?31, 65.63 million hours).

It maintained momentum through the first week of last month (September 1?7, 67.01 million hours), the second week (September 8?14, 69.36 million hours), and the third, fourth, and fifth weeks as well.

Notably, in the third week of last month, it surpassed the English-language drama leader "The Sandman" (77.24 million hours) to become the overall top in Netflix viewing hours for the first time.

Starring Park Eun-bin, Kang Tae-oh, and Kang Ki-young, "Woo Young-woo" is a drama about a lawyer with a genius intellect and autism spectrum disorder. Each episode delivered warm emotions, and the series concluded on the 18th of last month.

Meanwhile, in the fifth week of August's Netflix non-English drama viewing rankings, tvN's drama "Alchemy of Souls" ranked third (27.20 million hours), and KBS's drama "Young Lady and Gentleman" ranked fourth (18.27 million hours).
