Foreign Language Interpretation (English, Japanese, Chinese), Festival Promotion ? Guidance: Over 50 People in 2 Fields
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting foreign language interpreters and tourism guide volunteers by the 6th to provide various conveniences to visitors and foreigners during the October festival.
The recruitment is divided into two fields: interpreters proficient in foreign languages such as English, Japanese, and Chinese, and shuttle bus boarding volunteers during the festival period. A total of about 50 volunteers will be recruited to handle promotion, guidance, and tourism interpretation.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to participate during the October festival period. They should have a strong sense of responsibility and volunteer spirit, be able to interpret for foreign tourists, or have basic knowledge of Jinju’s history, culture, and festivals. Anyone meeting these criteria can apply.
The application method is posted on the city’s homepage under News Announcements/Notices, and applications can be submitted via email, fax, or in person. The final selection results will be individually notified (via SMS or phone) on the 20th.
A city official stated, “The annual success of the October festival has been possible thanks to the passion and participation of active volunteers. The role of volunteers is essential to facilitate the increasing number of tourists using the festival venues each year. We hope for the active participation of citizens who are responsible and interested.”
The Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival will be held from October 10 to October 31, the Gaecheon Arts Festival from October 27 to November 3, and the Korea Drama Festival from October 21 to November 3 at Jinju Fortress and the Namgang riverside area.
