Assemblyman Choi Hyung-doo, KORTA, and Changwon Chamber of Commerce Host Gyeongnam Mobility Overseas Expansion Webinar '2022 Gyeongnam Mobility Overseas Expansion Webinar' Poster.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] Congressman Choi Hyung-doo, KOTRA, and the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry will simultaneously hold the 2022 Gyeongnam Mobility Overseas Expansion Webinar online on the afternoon of the 6th in Korea, Japan, and Germany.

This online webinar is attended by about 20 Gyeongnam automobile parts companies wishing to expand overseas, KOTRA Gyeongnam Support Group, Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nagoya Trade Center, and Frankfurt Trade Center to review successful cases in advanced automobile countries Germany and Japan, and through this, it is an opportunity to explore global expansion strategies for automobile parts companies.

The webinar, consisting of a briefing session and consultation meeting (export and technology cooperation) to secure a foothold for entry into the European German future car sector (autonomous driving and electric vehicles) and an introduction to the Japanese automobile market trends and entry strategies, is an attempt to take the first step for Korean automobile parts companies including Gyeongnam companies to enter the next-generation mobility industry GVC in Europe and Japan.

Congressman Choi said, “A perfect storm of high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates is approaching due to the global economic crisis. We need to seek ways to overcome this complex economic crisis,” and added, “As global interest in automobiles, especially eco-friendly mobility technology, is increasing, the automobile parts sector must also find a path through exports.”

After the webinar, matching for overseas expansion will continue with online briefings on German OEM Tier 1 and 2 technology cooperation and sourcing demand in the future car sector, as well as Korea-Japan next-generation mobility partnering consultations.
