Introducing Rare Limited Edition and Exclusive Products Throughout September
Will Become an Online Playground for MZ Generation Seeking Unique Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Design United (DU), a limited-edition content platform operated by Shinsegae International, is launching various limited-edition products throughout September to target the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z).
On the 4th, DU announced that on the 5th it will exclusively release a custom bicycle created in collaboration between Nexon's popular game "Dungeon & Fighter" and the American brand "Super73," known for its luxury electric bicycles. Only two units will be released worldwide, and after a promotional period, they will be sold via a raffle (random draw) on the DU online platform on the 14th of this month. According to the company, this product marks the first collaboration between a game and a bicycle brand, making it highly rare and expected to attract a high number of entries from Dungeon & Fighter users and Super73 enthusiasts. Dungeon & Fighter is the number one action genre game with a global cumulative user base of 850 million.
Targeting car campers and camping enthusiasts, DU is releasing limited-edition stainless steel drinking cups. North American outdoor brand "Stanley," famous for its century-old insulated bottles, has teamed up with American outdoor casual brand "Sierra Designs." A limited run of 200 beer mugs (475ml) and soju cups, featuring Sierra Designs' logo on Stanley's signature stainless steel cups, will be exclusively sold on DU.
Additionally, luxury goods that have recently gained great popularity among the MZ generation will be sold via raffle or in limited quantities at special prices. Thom Browne cardigans and Dior Homme saddle bags will be sold through raffles, and popular products from Prada, Burberry, and Balenciaga can also be purchased through the DU application. On the 30th of this month, LA-based coffee brand "Matte Black Coffee," which has gained even more popularity through collaborations with luxury brands such as Fendi, Rolex, and BMW, will be launched online for the first time in Korea exclusively on DU. Customers can enjoy not only coffee but also various products such as tumblers and mugs.
A Shinsegae International DU representative said, "Due to the rarity of being a limited-edition content platform, we are receiving product planning and sales inquiries from various brands," adding, "We aim to create a platform where people who want products that cannot be purchased on other online malls can come and enjoy."
