[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The prosecution investigating the shooting of a civil servant in the West Sea is conducting a search and seizure at the Presidential Archives on the 1st.
The Public Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Hee-dong) sent prosecutors and investigators to the Presidential Archives in Sejong City this morning to review related documents.
The prosecution is known to be conducting the search and seizure by selectively reviewing documents among the presidential records that contain the decision-making process of the Blue House and others at the time.
The investigation team is expected to summon and question those involved in the case after collecting important materials this time. It was also reported that recently, a part of the complaint submitted by the National Intelligence Service to former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won was delivered, raising expectations that the investigation schedule will be coordinated soon.
Former Director Park also recently stated through his social media service (SNS) and internet broadcasts, "I cannot disclose the contents, but I have received the complaint," and "It seems the time for summons is approaching."
Former Director Park is accused of unauthorized deletion of intelligence-related reports concerning the situation when Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries civil servant Lee Dae-jun was killed by North Korean soldiers on September 22, 2020 (abuse of authority under the National Intelligence Service Act, damage to official electronic records, etc.).
