Discount Sales on Livestock, Fruits, and Seafood
Models are promoting the '2022 Chuseok Price Stabilization Project' event at Homeplus Gangseo store in Seoul.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Homeplus announced on the 1st that it will hold the ‘2022 Chuseok Price Stabilization Project’ until the 14th of this month, offering up to 50% discounts on various products including livestock, fruits, and seafood.
During this event, representative Chuseok foods and cooking utensils will be offered at affordable prices until the 7th. With My Homeplus membership special prices, all Nonghyup Ansim Hanwoo products and barley-fed Canadian Samgyeopsal will be sold at up to 40% off. U.S. and Australian beef for steamed ribs will be discounted by 40%, genuine Korean pork marinated LA galbi will be available at a 4,000 won discount, and marinated beef LA flower ribs will be offered at a 5,000 won discount.
Fruits will be sold at a 20% discounted price using agricultural and livestock product discount coupons in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Representative products such as Anseong Yeoldujeongseong fresh pears, ritual apples and pears, fresh chestnuts, and fresh jujubes will be offered at low prices. Edible oils, which are frequently used during the holidays, will be sold at up to 40% off. All thawed and live shrimp will be offered at a 40% discount, and frozen shrimp at a 50% discount.
A Homeplus official said, “We prepared this discount event anticipating that customers’ shopping burdens will increase ahead of the holiday due to high inflation,” adding, “We will continue to strive for price stabilization and easing household burdens through the ongoing price stabilization project.”
