[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] DGB Financial Group and the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) have joined hands.
On the 31st, a signing ceremony was held at the KPGA building in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to host the Korean Tour DGB Financial Group Open. It is the 17th tournament of the 2022 season. It will be held from September 22 to 25 at Pam Hills CC in Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk. The total prize money is 500 million KRW, with a winner's prize of 100 million KRW. DGB Financial Group has been participating as the title sponsor of the Korean Tour through the DGB Financial Group Daegu Gyeongbuk Open since 2016.
Kim Tae-oh, Chairman of DGB Financial Group, said, "As this tournament represents the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, we want not only to hold it successfully but also to greatly contribute to coexistence with local residents and the community." He added, "I hope this will be an opportunity for DGB Financial Group and KPGA to grow together." KPGA Chairman Koo Ja-chul promised, "We will join forces to make this tournament the greatest festival for golf fans in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions."
