[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] On the 31st, application market One Store announced that it will collaborate with global content and tech-based company Terafinn Studio to expand the overseas presence of its story content platform One Story's intellectual property (IP).

Terafinn Studio is the parent company of 'Toomics,' one of Korea's leading webtoon platforms, and Terafinn, a global webtoon production company. Toomics currently offers global services in nine languages, and Terafinn recently completed its transition to a U.S. corporation.

One Store and Terafinn Studio signed a business agreement to exchange IPs owned by each company and jointly advance OSMU (One Source Multi Use) content globally. The two companies will cooperate in various ways, including cross-providing webtoon and web novel IPs through their respective platforms to expand their content pools and secure users.

Additionally, the two companies will leverage Terafinn Studio's overseas network to jointly promote various forms of OSMU content such as movies, dramas, games, and metaverse to global markets including Hollywood. One Store will support translation necessary for the global expansion of Terafinn Studio's IP.

With this agreement, One Store plans to focus on expanding its content value chain while accelerating its global expansion. One Store has previously acquired genre novel publisher Rock Media, invested in Kuaikan, China’s top webtoon platform, and signed a joint IP development agreement with Studio Wave, a content development subsidiary of Wave.

Lee Jaehwan, CEO of One Store, said, “Since One Store and Terafinn Studio possess original IP and strong platforms to distribute them, they will create synergy throughout the entire digital content production and distribution process,” adding, “Through the exchange between the two companies, we will expand the user base and create success stories in the global market.”

Yu Younghak, CEO of Terafinn Studio, stated, “In today’s market where IP is a competitive advantage, competition transcends platforms and borders,” and added, “We will actively cooperate with One Store to discover K-content recognized in the global market.”
