[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] The 86th regular meeting of the Gyeongnam Mayors and County Governors Council was held on the 30th at Geochang Hangnohwa Healing Land.
This meeting, held for the first time since the launch of the 8th local government administration, was attended by 15 mayors and county governors in the province, including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon, and Gu In-mo, Governor of Geochang.
At the meeting, Park Il-ho, Mayor of Miryang, was elected as the chairman of the first half of the Gyeongnam Mayors and County Governors Council, and Gu In-mo, Governor of Geochang, was elected as vice chairman. The term of office for the Gyeongnam Mayors and County Governors Council is two years.
The council discusses and decides on exchanging opinions and seeking cooperation measures on joint issues among local governments, as well as various consultations and recommendations for improvement for the development of local autonomy.
After the meeting, the attendees experienced the nation's only mujutap Y-shaped suspension bridge installed at an altitude of 620 meters, famous as a tourist course, and had time for mutual exchange and cooperation between cities and counties.
