[2023 Early Admission] Hansung University Implements Major Track System Within Same Department

Hansung University will select 1,253 students, accounting for 76% of the total recruitment quota, in the 2023 academic year early admission. The most notable feature is that students can enter without distinction between major tracks within the same department and freely choose their major track when advancing to the second year.

Hansung University reflects 100% of the school record (curriculum) in the Academic Excellence Admission track and divides it into Curriculum I, which applies the minimum CSAT score requirement, and Curriculum II, which does not. For Curriculum I, the sum of the grades in two CSAT subjects is relaxed to 7 or less for daytime departments and 8 or less for evening departments. Curriculum I is suitable for students who have been diligent in regular school classes and calmly prepared for the CSAT, while Curriculum II is more suitable for students who do not meet the minimum CSAT score requirement.

In the 2023 academic year, the Hansung Talent track under the comprehensive student record admission will recruit 300 students solely through document evaluation (school life record). There is no need to write a self-introduction letter, and there are no separate interviews or minimum CSAT score requirements, minimizing the burden on applicants.

Starting in the 2023 academic year, the Department of Convergence Security will be newly established within the College of Creative Convergence. Aiming to cultivate experts equipped with knowledge, practical skills, and ethical awareness in the field of convergence security, it offers specialized curricula related to hacking, AI security, blockchain, autonomous vehicle security, quantum security, and next-generation communication security. The Department of Convergence Security will recruit 10 daytime students through the Curriculum I early admission and 30 daytime students through the regular CSAT admission.

Applicants with excellent academic records are advised to consider the student record curriculum admission track, taking into account their minimum CSAT score requirements. Students who have diligently participated in on-campus clubs or student council activities are suitable for the comprehensive student record Hansung Talent track. Students from rural areas, graduates of specialized high schools, and those currently employed at specialized high schools also fall under the comprehensive student record admission track, so applicants should carefully check the admission methods and eligibility before applying. Hansung University operates evening departments except for some majors, and limited cross-enrollment between day and evening classes is possible.
