Request for Provincial Funding of 43.3 Billion KRW for 57 Projects Through Provincial Assembly Member Invitation Meeting

Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, Launches Full-Scale Effort to Secure Provincial Funds for Next Year Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province held a meeting with provincial council members in the open conference room of the county office to request securing the 2023 provincial budget.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Goseong County, Gyeongnam Province, held a meeting with provincial council members on the 29th at the county office's open conference room to discuss current issues and request the securing of the 2023 provincial budget.


The meeting was attended by nine people, including Vice County Governor Lee Gi-bong, Gyeongnam Provincial Council members Baek Su-myeong and Heo Dong-won, Director of the Administrative Welfare Bureau Park Jeong-gyu, and other senior officials.


First, the county explained major ongoing projects such as ▲COVID-19 response status ▲Fishing Village New Deal 300 project ▲Yangchon and Yongjeong District general industrial complex development project ▲Handling status of residents' requests from communication meetings ▲Smart Livestock ICT pilot complex development project, and requested active cooperation.


Along with this, to ensure the smooth progress of current projects in 2023, the county requested support for 57 projects requiring provincial funding amounting to 43.3 billion KRW. Major projects include ▲Road expansion and paving project in Ha-i-myeon area (Local Road No. 1001) ▲Sacheon River (Sacheon District 2) flood disaster prevention project ▲Road expansion and paving project between Hannae and Deokgok (Local Road No. 1010) ▲Construction of an amateur baseball stadium ▲Expansion of local water supply in Gobong District ▲Development of Danghangpo tourist site ▲Repair and maintenance of city and county water facilities ▲Establishment of a regional revitalization crop base ▲Development of Galmobong natural recreation forest ▲Expansion of fishing village residential harbor facilities, among others.


Vice County Governor Lee said, “In uncertain financial conditions due to rising prices and real estate market stagnation, the special attention and support of the provincial council members are necessary for the smooth progress of our county’s current projects,” adding, “We will strive to ensure no setbacks in project implementation through continuous communication and policy sharing.”
