[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Dongincheon Station Park Prugio, promoted as a 'Public-Supported Private Rental Linked Redevelopment Project' within the metropolitan area, began move-in on the 29th.
Dongincheon Station Park Prugio, located in Songnim-dong, Dong-gu, a representative old downtown area of Incheon, is a large-scale apartment complex consisting of 12 buildings with 2,562 households, ranging from 4 basement floors to 48 above-ground floors. It comprises 390 sale apartments occupied by landowners, 2,005 private rental units, and 167 public rental units.
Within a 5-minute walk is Dongincheon Station on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1, and it has excellent accessibility to metropolitan transportation networks such as Incheon-daero, Gyeongin Expressway, and the Metropolitan Area 2nd Ring Expressway, making travel to Seoul and the metropolitan area convenient.
Various living infrastructures such as Songhyeon Neighborhood Park, Incheon City Dowon Gymnasium, Homeplus, and Incheon Football Stadium are nearby, along with Songnim Elementary School, Dongmyeong Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. A national/public daycare center is planned to operate within the complex.
The apartment complex features a modern waterfall garden at its center with diverse trees planted, various themed gardens including a children's water play park, and various convenience and community facilities such as a fitness center, sauna, small library, and indoor golf practice range.
The public-supported private rental linked redevelopment project is a method where general housing generated from urban redevelopment and reconstruction projects is collectively purchased as public-supported private rental housing and supplied to youth, newlyweds, and the homeless at prices lower than market rates for over 8 years.
Incheon Urban Corporation (iH) participates as the project implementer of the redevelopment project and as an investor in the 'real estate fund,' which is the rental business operator of the private rental housing.
Lee Seungwoo, president of iH, stated, "Although the project area had long been halted despite its deteriorated and poor residential environment, it is significant as a public-supported private rental linked redevelopment project district that succeeded with a real estate fund, supplying multi-family housing along with expanding urban infrastructure such as roads and parks."
