[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 30th that it will launch two types of plant-based rTG Omega-3 under its circulatory health functional food brand, Circulan.
The Plant-based rTG Omega-3 and Plant-based rTG Omega-3 1000 use 80% pure French raw materials extracted from microalgae, which are free from heavy metal concerns. Microalgae are at the bottom of the food chain and are the oldest organisms on Earth, being very small plant plankton invisible to the naked eye.
From raw materials to capsules, the product is entirely plant-based, making it suitable for pregnant and nursing women as well as vegetarians. It has obtained vegan certification from V-Label, a European vegan certification body, as well as kosher and halal certifications, which are international food certifications. Only raw materials certified by international organizations such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization), IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards), and GOED (Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s) are used.
The two types of Plant-based rTG Omega-3 contain 600 mg and 1000 mg of EPA+DHA respectively, in rTG form omega-3, which may help improve blood triglycerides, blood circulation, memory, and dry eye health. The included vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, helping to protect cells from harmful oxygen species. It is recommended to take 2 capsules once daily with sufficient water.
A Dong-A Pharmaceutical representative said, “We have introduced plant-based rTG Omega-3 made from plant-based raw materials, suitable for pregnant women and vegetarians,” adding, “We will continue to strive to be a beloved brand specializing in circulatory health that supports healthy blood circulation for various consumers.”
