[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Cultural Heritage Administration's National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and the National Gyeongju Cultural Heritage Research Institute will hold an academic conference on the theme "Silla's Regional Hub, Daegu Palgeosan Fortress" at 1 PM on the 5th of next month at the Hamji Hall of the Eoul Art Center in Buk-gu, Daegu.
The academic conference consists of four thematic presentations and an expert panel discussion. The presentations will proceed in the following order: ▲2022 Survey Status and Future Plans of Daegu Palgeosan Fortress (Son Jeong-bae, Hwarang Cultural Heritage Research Institute) ▲Daegu Palgeosan Fortress Seen through Literature and Wooden Tablets (Hong Seung-woo, Kyungpook National University) ▲Characteristics and Significance of the Construction of Daegu Palgeosan Fortress (Choi Gwan-ho, Korea Prehistoric Culture Research Institute) ▲Current Status of Survey Research and Future Tasks for the Designation of Daegu Palgeosan Fortress as a Historic Site (Oh Seung-yeon, Hwarang Cultural Heritage Research Institute).
After the presentations, an expert panel discussion will be held chaired by Professor Emeritus Kim Se-gi (Daegu Haany University), with panelists Kang Bong-won (Gyeongju University), Park Seung-gyu (Cheongrim Cultural Heritage Research Institute), Lee Seong-ju (Kyungpook National University), and Park Jong-ik (Cultural Heritage Administration Specialist). They will freely exchange opinions on future tasks for the designation of Palgeosan Fortress as a historic site.
