Ulsan World Mountain Film Festival Holds 'Oompeu's Autumn Theater' at Onsan Deoksin Small Park

Starting at 6 PM on September 2nd with a performance by singer Byun Jin-seop, the opening film of 2022, “Alpinist: Marc-Andr? Leclerc,” will be screened.

This documentary captures the two-year climbing record of the genius alpinist Marc-Andr? Leclerc and is a masterpiece of mountain films that won the Sports Emmy Award this year.

On the 3rd, from the morning, the ‘Onsan Ump Market’ will be held with participation from the Onsan Urban Regeneration Center and Onsan residents, operating craft experience and sales booths together.

From 4:30 PM, the film “Starlight Shining” will be screened, which tells the touching true story of a rural Chinese village. It is based on the true story of a rural village jump rope team that became world champions through the determination of their teachers and the efforts of the students.

After the screening, a ‘Byulchongchong Jump Rope’ event will be held on-site in cooperation with the Ulsan Ulju County Jump Rope Association.

The final screening of Ump’s Autumn Theater is the film “Night Forest,” the closing film of the 7th Ulju World Mountain Film Festival. It is a warm movie about two boys who grow through challenges by facing their fears, set against a beautiful wild backdrop with music harmoniously blended.

Admission to Ump’s Autumn Theater is free on a first-come, first-served basis, and wearing masks during the screening is mandatory to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
