Boosting Regional University Competitiveness! ... Dong-Eui Science University and PNJ Sign Industry-Academia Agreement for Joint Workforce Training in Hairdressing Field Dong-Eui Science University and P&J are holding a signing ceremony and taking a group commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement for the ‘Hair Beauty Professional Workforce Training Program’ with Park Jun Beauty Lab’s PNJ on the 23rd.


The agreement was established to nurture talent that will lead the development of the local beauty industry.


Attendees at the signing ceremony included Dong-Eui Institute of Technology President Kim Young-do, Industry-Academic Cooperation Director Lee Hwa-seok, Hair Beauty Department Professor Kim Nam-hee, PNJ Chairman Park Jun, Busan Branch Manager Kim Young-man, and Seomyeon Youth Street Store Manager Park Jin-sung.


The two institutions agreed to collaborate on joint educational development to enhance the field adaptability and practical skills of students in the early employment contract department ‘Smart Beauty Care Department,’ exchange information, and jointly participate in related educational projects.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint workforce training related to the early employment contract department ▲ R&BD-related technology development ▲ joint participation and support in educational projects ▲ cooperation in participation of Park Jun Beauty Lab franchise stores ▲ joint operation and participation in industry-academic councils ▲ cooperation in various projects and events promoted by both institutions.


President Kim Young-do stated, “We will successfully promote the Park Jun Beauty Lab program and create an opportunity to elevate the competitiveness of the local university to the next level.”


Chairman Park Jun said, “Through collaboration with Dong-Eui Institute of Technology’s Smart Beauty Care Department, we will make our best efforts at the headquarters level to cultivate the highest level of hair beauty talent in Busan.”


Last year, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was selected for the ‘Leading Specialized College Development Project for Early Employment Contract Departments’ aimed at customized workforce training in promising new industries in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.


Following the project selection, the university established early employment contract departments in Smart Beauty Care, Smart Cosmetics Materials, and Smart Food Cooking starting from the 2022 academic year.
