[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] A protester who was arrested for threatening former President Moon Jae-in and his wife, as well as residents of Pyeongsan Village, requested the court to review his detention again, but the request was denied.

The Criminal Division 12 of Ulsan District Court (Chief Judge Hwang Un-seo) announced on the 24th that it dismissed Mr. A's request for a detention review.

A detention review is a procedure in which a suspect challenges the legality of their detention and asks the court for a re-evaluation.

Mr. A was arrested on the 18th for repeatedly threatening former President Moon and his wife, as well as residents of Pyeongsan Village in Yangsan, where the former president's residence is located, including using abusive language during protests. He is also accused of threatening a former presidential secretary with an industrial cutter knife in front of the Yangsan residence on the 16th, before his arrest.
