- Challenging new digital innovation in Dongdaemun apparel B2B market with systematic apm e-gift card service spanning online and offline..
- Planning joint expansion of e-gift cards and various business areas...
apM S&S, the IT affiliate of apM Group, the largest clothing B2B shopping mall in Korea, announced that the apM e-Voucher, launched on August 23, was sold out successfully.
The apM e-Voucher, which went on sale simultaneously with the opening hours of the apM malls (apM, apM Place, apM Lux) on the launch day, sold out in less than three hours. The e-voucher, which started selling alongside the operation of the apM malls, was sold out in just 2 hours and 50 minutes, leading to an early closure. The daily sales limit for this e-voucher is 100 million KRW, with a purchase limit of 10 million KRW per person per day. Once the daily sales quota is exhausted, sales close, and only refunds and general inquiries are accepted at the sales desk thereafter.
The apM e-Voucher is offered with a 2% discount and can be purchased by any verified Korean or foreign member of the apM Members app. The purchased e-voucher can be used immediately at the three apM malls (apM, apM Place, apM Lux) through a quick and easy QR code scan.
There are two key points to note about the newly launched apM e-Voucher service. First, the functional purchase and usage process. In the fast-paced Dongdaemun clothing wholesale industry where speed is essential, the apM e-Voucher enables quick customer turnover without long waiting times for purchase and use. Customers can visit the sales desk located in front of the main entrance on the first floor of apM Lux, where multilingual dedicated staff and informational pamphlets assist in swift purchases. For using the apM e-Voucher, customers can conveniently scan the QR code at the desired clothing wholesale brand.
Second, the innovation in integrated online and offline customer experience. Customers can store the e-voucher purchased at the offline sales desk in the apM Members app (online) and make payments at the three apM malls (offline) by scanning the QR code within the app (online). In other words, the entire process of purchasing the apM e-Voucher and buying products is systematically carried out across both online and offline channels.
A representative from apM S&S stated, “Although various industries including the clothing industry are transitioning to digital, due to the nature of service adoption sites, we believe that simultaneous online and offline marketing is important rather than focusing solely on online.” They added, “Many domestic and international customers asked about the service launch timing during the preparation phase, indicating high customer expectations for this e-voucher.”
Additionally, apM S&S CEO Seok Gwang-il expressed, “We conducted extensive pre-launch demonstrations and inspections to ensure the smooth operation of the apM e-Voucher service from the start. We expect this successful launch to create new value and serve as a breakthrough in the post-COVID new normal era.”
Meanwhile, in April, apM S&S announced plans to expand into the global market by selecting an administrative town encompassing commercial, business, and residential facilities to be established in West Lake, Hanoi, Vietnam, as a new adoption site for the apM Members app.
