Promoting Physical Activity Among Menopausal Women
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] The National Fitness 100 Jeonnam Shinan Fitness Certification Center plans to conduct fitness assessments for participants of the integrated health promotion project "Menopausal Bone Keeper (Gipeo) Health Class," which is being promoted by the Shinan-gun Public Health Center.
The Menopausal Bone Keeper (Gipeo) Health Class is a program promoted by the Shinan-gun Public Health Center to enhance physical activity among menopausal women. The Shinan Fitness Certification Center has signed a business agreement with the Shinan-gun Public Health Center to conduct fitness assessments before and after participation in the program.
In April, preliminary fitness assessments were conducted for the project participants, and follow-up assessments are scheduled to begin on the 24th.
Program participants are broadly divided into adult and senior groups. The fitness assessment items for adults include ▲muscle strength ▲muscular endurance ▲flexibility ▲cardiorespiratory endurance ▲explosive power ▲agility, while the senior group’s items include ▲upper limb strength ▲lower limb strength ▲flexibility ▲cardiorespiratory endurance ▲balance ▲coordination.
The Shinan Fitness Certification Center plans to continue providing ongoing fitness management support services in cooperation with the Shinan-gun Public Health Center to encourage healthy physical activities among the residents.
