Education, Reading, and Future Career Mentoring... National Library for Children and Young Adults Hosts the '2022 4th Migumso Festival'


[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Library for Children and Young Adults will hold the ‘2022 4th Migumso Festival,’ an event that children and the whole family can participate in. Various on-site events such as talk concerts and experience booths, as well as online events including Ttukttak Box and future career mentoring, have been prepared. The festival will be held both online and offline from the 2nd to the 21st of next month.


The opening ceremony will be held on the 3rd of next month at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of the National Library for Children and Young Adults and will be live-streamed on YouTube. Starting with a digital magic show using holograms by magician Lee Jun-hyung, lectures by Professor Lee Eun-soo of Seoul National University and Research Professor Kim Seung of Korea Teacher Campus will follow. The topics will focus on child education and future reading.


Experience events will also take place. On the first floor in the Dream Creation Room, visitors can directly control robots or create works using laser equipment. On the second floor exhibition hall, drone piloting experiences are available. Autonomous driving experience booths set up in the lobbies on the first and second floors allow visitors to try autonomous driving.


Career lectures will be held as well. Experts from three promising future professions in the digital age?immersive content developers, smart farm specialists, and aerospace engineers?will be invited to share detailed insights about their respective careers.


A library official stated, “We hope that by experiencing the diverse creative programs of the Migumso Festival, such as the experience booths and Ttukttak Box, children and youth will enhance their thinking skills and creativity.”

On-site events will accept advance applications through the website starting from the 25th of this month.
