Safety First ... Sancheong-gun Conducts National Safety Inspection on 84 Facilities

Safety First ... Sancheong-gun Conducts National Safety Inspection on 84 Facilities County Governor Lee Seunghwa is conducting an on-site inspection of the traditional market's National Safety Diagnosis.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that it will promote a national safety inspection to check the safety of facilities where various safety accidents are expected and to practice safety in daily life.

Sancheong-gun has formed a joint inspection team consisting of Sancheong Fire Station, private experts, and responsible public officials, and will conduct inspections for about two months until October 14.

The county has organized and operates a general planning team, on-site inspection team, and situation management team. To ensure thorough inspections, a public-private joint inspection will be conducted together with safety management advisory committee members and the departments in charge of each facility.

During the inspection period, the county will conduct on-site inspections at 84 locations across 10 fields in 5 categories subject to safety management, including building facilities, living and leisure, environment, and energy.

Starting this year, to prevent accidents during the summer season, a preliminary inspection is being conducted on 9 places such as tourist accommodations and guesthouses before the national safety inspection begins to prevent disaster accidents.

With the full-scale national safety inspection underway, on the afternoon of the 18th, County Governor Lee Seung-hwa visited Sancheong Market with the inspection team to conduct on-site safety inspections of fire prevention facilities.

The county plans to produce a voluntary safety checklist so that each household and multi-use facility can conduct safety inspections on their own, and distribute it to schools, apartment complexes, and multi-use facilities.

Governor Lee said, “We will eliminate causes through preliminary inspections of safety risk factors and respond proactively as soon as any abnormalities are found. We will do our best to protect the lives and property of residents by thoroughly conducting preliminary inspections to ensure that not a single casualty or safety accident occurs.”
