No.1 Klaytn-based Platform in Korea on OpenSea
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Home Shopping announced on the 19th that its own character 'Belligom' membership-linked non-fungible tokens (NFTs) sold out immediately upon release.
Since the 17th, Lotte Home Shopping has conducted the Belligom membership NFT sales through the 1st and 2nd phases of 'Whitelist Sale' (pre-reserved customer sales, 6,000 units) and a 'Public Sale' (3,500 units) for general customers. Notably, on the 18th, the NFTs sold out within 0.5 seconds of opening, and on the same day, the NFT marketplace 'OpenSea' ranked first domestically and 16th globally in transaction volume among the cryptocurrency 'Klaytn' series.
During the 1st and 2nd sales phases, the transaction volume exceeded typical NFT sales, with some sales completing within one second. The NFT community Discord channel surpassed 40,000 members within three weeks, achieving the third-largest community size among domestic corporate NFT projects in less than a month since launch.
The Belligom NFTs are currently actively traded in the secondary market, and the remaining stock (500 units) will be used for customer marketing and event prizes. Lotte Home Shopping plans to continuously add benefits to the Belligom NFTs and expand holder membership benefits and community support through various marketing activities.
A Lotte Home Shopping official stated, “In the Web 3.0 era, we recognize that NFTs, which are key elements for activating the virtual economy as well as the metaverse, are important and are actively pursuing this initiative,” adding, “We plan to enhance collectible value with differentiated membership benefits and expand support for the holder community in the future.”
