Sarang Volunteer Group Delivers Happiness by Creating Longevity Photos for Over 980 Seniors in 23 Sessions
POSCO Pohang Steelworks delivered longevity photo frames wishing for the health and longevity of the elderly and took commemorative photos at the Haedo Senior Happiness Center on the 18th.

About 30 people attended the delivery ceremony, including around 10 village elders, Pohang City Council member Cho Min-seong, Haedo-dong Mayor Hwang Bo-taehee, Haedo-dong Community Security Council Chairman Kim Byung-mok, POSCO Steelworks Environment Resource Group Leader Lee Chang-min, and members of the photo volunteer group.
A total of 32 longevity photos were delivered to the elders that day. These photos were taken by the photo volunteer group of elders residing in Haedo-dong earlier last month, enlarged, printed, and framed.
Additionally, for elders who came as couples on the day of the photo shoot, photos taken together were also printed and delivered, adding to their joy.
Since its establishment in July 2019, the POSCO Steelworks photo volunteer group has visited seven nearby neighborhoods starting from Pohang Steelworks, including Ocheon, Guryongpo, Songra-myeon, and Yeonil-eup, creating longevity photos for approximately 980 elders over 23 sessions to date.
On the 25th, the 24th “Visiting Longevity Photo” session will be held in Sangdae-dong, marking the 1,000th person photographed by the photo volunteer group.
Hwang Bo-taehee, Mayor of Haedo-dong, expressed gratitude, saying, “By creating longevity photos for the elders of Haedo-dong, which is separated from POSCO by the Hyeongsan River, we practice filial piety and feel great support and deep appreciation for POSCO, which supports the local community in many ways.”
